I think learning about a place or country you want to go to and having information in advance and knowing the best places you must visit is really important. Today I want to present you a blog that I’ve been following for years as I love traveling and I think it’s done in a really informative and cool way.
Two Californian brothers, Marko and Alex Ayling, are popularly known on the internet as Vagabrothers. They won a video contest called “Biggest, Baddest, Bucket List” in which they gained a six month trip around the world sharing their hole journey via their official web, their YouTube channel, and other social media such as their Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts. Furthermore, after their prize of six month traveling all around the world they still continue traveling and sharing all their journeys and new experiences.
They have always loved traveling and knowing other countries and cultures. In fact, before they launched their YouTube channel in 2014 they went abroad from their home country to teach english, concretely to the north of Spain where they fell in love with the variety of cultures and its natural richness. They are full of wanderlust and they created their blog with the mission of exploring the world by connecting with other young people and inspiring viewers to do the same.
Regarding their popularity, they have 132.504 subscribers in YouTube, 10.800 followers in Twitter and 36.000 followers in Instagram combining the Marko’s travel writing and journalism experience with Alex’s filmmaking and photography skills.
One of their most viewed video is one explaining a brief history about the culture and life in the Baque Country, the part from Spain where they worked as english teachers and inspired them to start the blog. They explain how we life here, the most important things and places in the Basque Country and its surroundings, as Navarra, la Rioja or Cantabria. And they also have the same style of videos explaining history and culture of other countries as well as videos with tips about traveling and life in each place.
To finish, I think this bloggers are really useful for those who love to explore new countries and like traveling but also for those who want to get information or lear more about a place they are thinking of going or visiting and I hope you find them interesting and useful.
